Le Dr Przemys\u0142aw Mr\u00f3z, de l&rsquo;Observatoire Astronomique de l&rsquo;Universit\u00e9 de Varsovie (UW), est coauteur de la publication.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">L&rsquo;objet a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9couvert dans les donn\u00e9es de l&rsquo;\u00e9tude du ciel Zwicky Transient Facility (ZTF) r\u00e9alis\u00e9e \u00e0 l&rsquo;Observatoire de Palomar en Californie. Le Dr Przemys\u0142aw Mr\u00f3z, de l&rsquo;Observatoire Astronomique de l&rsquo;Universit\u00e9 de Varsovie, a notamment \u00e9t\u00e9 charg\u00e9 de mesurer la luminosit\u00e9 de plus d&rsquo;un milliard d&rsquo;\u00e9toiles observ\u00e9es dans le cadre du projet ZTF, ce qui a permis de d\u00e9couvrir cet objet inhabituel. Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 baptis\u00e9 Janus, du nom du dieu romain de toutes les origines, qui \u00e9tait repr\u00e9sent\u00e9 comme une divinit\u00e9 \u00e0 deux visages.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">L&rsquo;\u00e9toile se distingue par d&rsquo;importants changements de luminosit\u00e9, qui se r\u00e9p\u00e8tent toutes les 15 minutes.
