The money &#8211; almost 1.7 million PLN is allocated from the Sonatina 3 competition, organized by the National Science Center.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Thanks to co-financing, Dr Dawid Surmik will implement the project &#8220;Osteopathology in the fossil record as a carrier of paleoecological and paleoepidemiological information&#8221; (co-financed with the amount of PLN 772 070), and Dr Ashley Gumsley will examine &#8220;Implications of U-Pb geochronology of apatite for aid processes in the area of Kraton Kaapvaal, Africa&#8221; co-financed with the amount of PLN 927 545).<\/p>\n<p>The Sonatina is a competition addressed to scientists with a PhD title held for no longer than 3 years. The grant covers full-time employment of the laureate in a Polish research unit, implementation of a research project and an internship in a foreign research center lasting from 3 to 6 months.
