Grabski prizes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Foundation for Polish Science (FNP) for the second time awarded Prof. Maciej W. Grabski prizes for scholars enhancing social understanding of science. This year&#8217;s laureates were Fr. Prof. Micha\u0142 Heller, director of the Center for Copernicus of Interdisciplinary Research in Krak\u00f3w and Prof. Jan Madey from the University of Warsaw.<\/p>\n<p>The prize was established in 2016 to commemorate Prof. Maciej W. Grabski, president of the FNP in 1992-2005. It is awarded to people who promote and explain methods of scientific inference, present the influence of science and Poland&#8217;s civilization development, presenting the results of research in an accessible way, educate the public to distinguish &#8220;good&#8221; and &#8220;bad&#8221; learning, that is, research based on a reliable method and rational application of research against those that do not meet these criteria, and disseminate verified scientific arguments in the public debate.
