The competition was won by Micha\u0142 Kasperski, a student of the wood technology department for his project &#8220;Lady Woodka&#8221;.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The goal of the &#8220;Make a bike of wood&#8221; competition is to promote wood as a construction material and to promote technical culture and healthy lifestyle for young people. To be allowed to competition, the project must have at least a frame made of wood or wood-based materials. Other elements and accessories may be made of non-wood material. The bicycle must perform a transport function.<\/p>\n<p>Seven vehicles were submitted this year. The projects included various new solutions &#8211; from a bicycle having a gear transmission instead of a chain to a 3-person bicycle with a length exceeding 3 meters.
