The funds have been granted as part of the last NCN calls.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The largest grant, amounting to PLN 1 217 630, was awarded to Prof. Krzysztof Szyma\u0144ski from the Faculty of Physics, for the project &#8220;Imaging of hyperfine interactions in M\u00f6ssbauer spectrometry&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>The other 3 grants were received by the researchers from the Faculty of History and Sociology. The grants will allow Dr Karol \u0141opatecki to study the social and economic significance of military camps and garrisons in the Polish-Lithuanian state in the period from the 16th to the 18th century, Dr Rados\u0142aw Poniat to carry out the project &#8220;Economic inequalities in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and their socio-political consequences&#8221;, and Monika Koz\u0142owska to analyze the nature and scale of the impact of weather conditions on selected economic phenomena, such as crop production, price movements of agricultural products and their export from Poland in early modern period of history.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Scientists from the University of Bialystok have received six grants for a total amount of over PLN 2.6 million from the National Science Center (NCN).
