According to their estimates, the building was erected in the late Islamic period (XVI-XIX centuries).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>During this year&#8217;s excavations, the Kuwaiti-Polish archaeological mission found the remains of a monumental mosque in the north-eastern part of the large Fajlak island in the Persian Gulf.<\/p>\n<p>Its outline is a square about 20 meters long. The building consists of a large courtyard (almost 200 m2) leading to the main hall with dimensions of 17 to 7 meters.
