In the middle of the 18th century, a battle took place there, in which 11,000 soldiers were killed. The Prussian army led by Frederick II and the allied Austrian-Russian army under the command of field marshal Piotr Sa\u0142tykow fought against each other.<\/p>\n<p>The battle was described at the beginning of the 20th century, but research run by Prof. Podruczny indicates that German historians have made mistakes, including designating the area on the battle.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Until now, there was a belief among military historians that in the 18th century hand grenades were not used.
