Research carried out in its structures is carried out by over 80 research groups representing a full cross-section of issues related to molecular biology. An international research institution founded in 1974 employs over 1,700 employees of many nationalities and specialties.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to its membership, Poland was granted the right to designate two delegates with full voting rights at EMBL.
