{"id":54907,"date":"2019-01-04T18:07:49","date_gmt":"2019-01-04T17:07:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/polishscience.pl\/?p=54907"},"modified":"2019-01-04T18:07:49","modified_gmt":"2019-01-04T17:07:49","slug":"university-of-gdansk-joins-the-consortium-european-university-of-the-seas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.polishscience.pl\/en\/university-of-gdansk-joins-the-consortium-european-university-of-the-seas\/","title":{"rendered":"University of Gda\u0144sk joins the consortium &#8220;European University of the Seas&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Representatives of the University of Gda\u0144sk and five other European universities have signed a declaration of participation in the &#8220;European University of the Seas&#8221; initiative (SEA-EU), which aims to obtain funding for the creation of a European university.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The SEA-EU consortium, along with the University of Gda\u0144sk, includes: Universidad de C\u00e1diz (Spain) &#8211; leader; Sveu\u010dili\u0161te u Split (Croatia); Universit\u00e9 de Bretagne Occidentale (France); Christian-Albrechts-Universit\u00e4t zu Kiel (Germany) and L-Universit\u00e0 ta &#8216;Malta.<\/p>\n<p>The idea of establishing European universities has been initiated by member states of the European Union (EU), the Council and the European Commission.
