{"id":53028,"date":"2018-12-20T20:07:05","date_gmt":"2018-12-20T19:07:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/polishscience.pl\/?p=53028"},"modified":"2018-12-20T20:07:05","modified_gmt":"2018-12-20T19:07:05","slug":"national-center-for-nuclear-research-participated-in-the-project-of-construction-of-a-multi-element-container-inspection-system","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.polishscience.pl\/en\/national-center-for-nuclear-research-participated-in-the-project-of-construction-of-a-multi-element-container-inspection-system\/","title":{"rendered":"National Center for Nuclear Research participated in the project of construction of a multi-element container inspection system"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The National Center for Nuclear Research (NCBJ) and the National Tax Administration participated in the international C-BORD project, which aims to develop and test a comprehensive, cost-effective solution for inspecting containers and large loads at the borders of the European Union &#8211; in particular in seaports.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Five control methods were developed in the project: an X-ray scanner, radiometric gates, a neutron system, a photo-grafting system and a vapor analyzer of a container.<\/p>\n<p>The idea is that C-BORD, operating in a wide range of non-intrusive inspections, could detect drugs, tobacco, explosives, chemical warfare agents, human smuggling and nuclear materials.<\/p>\n<p>The project has shown that it is technically possible to develop and integrate a multi-element inspection system.
