The jury of the competition also awarded two distinctions &#8211; both for researchers from the Pozna\u0144 university.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The authors of the award-winning paper &#8220;Using the market width to predict rates of return from domestic and industry stock indices&#8221; are: Prof. Andreas Karathanasopoulos (University of Dubai), Dr. Przemys\u0142aw Grobelny, Mateusz Mikutowski and Dr Adam Zaremba from UEP.<br \/>\nThe competition awards were also received by Dr Pawe\u0142 \u015aliwi\u0144ski, Prof. Associate of UEP and Maciej \u0141obza MA for the article &#8220;Can socially responsible investing be financially sound&#8221; and Dr Pawe\u0142 \u015aliwi\u0144ski, and Dr Piotr Zygmanowski for &#8220;Indicators for measuring the development level of companies qualified for the NewConnect Focus segment&#8221;.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Researchers at the University of Economics in Poznan (UEP) took first place (ex aequo with researchers from the University of Szczecin) in a competition for a scientific paper during the 7th Capital Market Congress.
