{"id":48649,"date":"2018-11-23T16:04:21","date_gmt":"2018-11-23T15:04:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/polishscience.pl\/?p=48649"},"modified":"2018-11-23T16:04:21","modified_gmt":"2018-11-23T15:04:21","slug":"university-of-life-sciences-in-wroclaw-launches-a-network-of-stations-for-vibration-tests-of-the-earths-crust","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.polishscience.pl\/en\/university-of-life-sciences-in-wroclaw-launches-a-network-of-stations-for-vibration-tests-of-the-earths-crust\/","title":{"rendered":"University of Life Sciences in Wroclaw launches a network of stations for vibration tests of the Earth&#8217;s crust"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The Institute of Geodesy and Geoinformatics of the University of Life Sciences in Wroc\u0142aw has launched a network of permanent Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) as part of the EPOS-PL project &#8211; European Observation System.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>GNSS receivers allow to determine the position of the station on the basis of satellite signals with an accuracy of a few millimeters and can be used to study vibration measurements of the Earth&#8217;s crust during seismic shocks and mining bumps.<\/p>\n<p>The network consists of stations located in Wroc\u0142aw, Katowice, B\u0119dzin, Chorz\u00f3w, Che\u0142m \u015al\u0105ski, Rybnik, Borowa G\u00f3ra near Warsaw and in Komorniki near \u015aroda \u015al\u0105ska.
