The prize was awarded during the 32nd International Symposium on Chromatography 2018 in Cannes-Mandelieu.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Tswett-Nernst Prize is awarded every two years by the European Society for Separation Science to scientists who have &#8220;profoundly influenced the development of separation sciences for the progress of our civilization&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>The authors of the award are the founder of the chromatography Mikhail Tswett, who conducted his research and results at the University of Warsaw and Walter Nernst, a German Nobel prize winner in chemistry, who was born and raised in Polish W\u0105brze\u017ano.<\/p>\n<p>Professor Kaliszan is the eighth winner in the history of the prize and the first Pole to receive this award.
