We are extending and strengthening the autonomy of the university. The new law is a deepened evolution, not a chaotic revolution,&#8221;- said Deputy Prime Minister Jaros\u0142aw Gowin at a meeting of the rectors of Polish high schools in Warsaw.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The event, which started the academic year 2018\/2019, was attended by Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, who stressed that &#8220;we are entering a new year with a new law on science and higher education, which will be a milestone in the development of Poland&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>In turn, Prof. Jan Szmidt, chairman of the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland, stressed that the academic community felt responsible for the reform of science.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; 100 years behind us and 100 years ahead of us. We scientists, teachers &#8211; we bring up those who will decide about Poland in the future. We feel like co-creators of the reform. We feel this responsibility.
