The protagonists of the story will be Dr. Catherine Stern, &#8211; his grandmother and Prof. Fritz Stern- his father.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Catherine Stern (1894-1973) was the founder of the first kindergarten Montessori in Wroclaw. After emigration to the USA, in cooperation with Max Wertheimer, one of the creators of Gestalt psychology, she created a method for calculating and basics of mathematics for children in pre-school and early school age &#8211; Stern Math (Structural Arithmetic).<\/p>\n<p>Fritz Stern (1926-2016) was an outstanding historian, who for nearly 50 years was associated with Columbia University in New York. He researched and explained the history of Europe in particular Germany.
