There are over 12,000 plants growing there on 62 hectares of the park.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Wojs\u0142awice is located 50 km from Wroc\u0142aw in the protected landscape area of the Strzeli\u0144sko-Niemcza\u0144skie Hills. The park was founded there in 1811 by the families von Prittwitz and von Aulock. In 1880, Fritz von Oheimb bought the property in Wojs\u0142awice. This expert on plants and climatic conditions revived the area and created a park that already in his lifetime enjoyed fame and recognition. His son Arno continued the works until 1946.<\/p>\n<p>After World War II, the park was opened to the public only in 1962. In 1988, it became the first branch of the Wroc\u0142aw Botanical Garden in history. The Arboretum has the status of &#8220;Display Garden AHS&#8221; &#8211; the show garden of the American Daylily Association.
