The aim of the project is to learn about the early stages of sulphide mineralisation in southern Poland, which led to the development of rich deposits of non-ferrous metal ores in the geological past.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The scientists based their hypotheses on the assumption that certain processes leading to the formation of caves are repeated in different places and at different times on Earth, provided similar conditions occur. The dedolomitisation phenomena currently observed in the Mravljetovo Brezno v Go\u0161arjevih Rupah cave may provide the information needed to understand the early stages of sulphide mineralisation in southern Poland.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The analyses of the collected material relate to a certain stage of cave development, in which the rock mass was prepared in such a way that metal sulphides could precipitate there from circulating solutions.
