Personages &#8211; views &#8211; ideas&#8221;, published by the DiG Publishing House on the occasion of the 160th Anniversary of the January Uprising.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Professor Wies\u0142aw Caban is an outstanding expert on the history of Poles in the Russian Empire in the 19th century, author of many books on the subject, and Vice-Chancellor of UJK in 2008-2012.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In his latest publication, he analysed 100 biographies of Polish exiles during the inter-insurrectionary period who, after returning home, became involved again in the independence movement and the January Uprising.
