{"id":333809,"date":"2024-02-21T14:11:45","date_gmt":"2024-02-21T13:11:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/polishscience.pl\/?p=333809"},"modified":"2024-02-21T14:11:45","modified_gmt":"2024-02-21T13:11:45","slug":"researcher-from-the-poznan-university-of-economics-to-receive-the-bekker-scholarship","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.polishscience.pl\/en\/researcher-from-the-poznan-university-of-economics-to-receive-the-bekker-scholarship\/","title":{"rendered":"Researcher from the Pozna\u0144 University of Economics to receive the Bekker scholarship"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dr Maciej Ber\u0119sewicz, Professor at the Pozna\u0144 University of Economics, from the Department of Statistics at the Institute of Computer Science and Quantitative Economics, has won a scholarship in the Mieczys\u0142aw Bekker Programme organised by the National Agency for Academic Exchange.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The researcher will carry out a three-month project entitled &#8216;Statistical inference from non-random samples with classification errors&#8217; at the University of Manchester, in collaboration with Professor Natalie Shlomo.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The project aims to develop new estimators for non-random samples containing classification errors using online job advertisements as an example.
