{"id":333031,"date":"2024-02-16T09:08:02","date_gmt":"2024-02-16T08:08:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/polishscience.pl\/?p=333031"},"modified":"2024-02-16T09:08:02","modified_gmt":"2024-02-16T08:08:02","slug":"report-foreign-students-in-poland-2023","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.polishscience.pl\/en\/report-foreign-students-in-poland-2023\/","title":{"rendered":"Report &#8220;Foreign students in Poland 2023&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the 2022\/23 academic year, the number of foreign students exceeded the 100,000 barrier for the first time, with 105,404 students from 179 countries studying in Poland, according to the report &#8220;Foreign students in Poland 2023&#8221; published by the Educational Foundation &#8220;Perspektywy&#8221; &#8211; based on data from the Central Statistical Office, which also takes into account incoming exchange students.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Foreign students currently account for more than 8.61 % of the total number of students in our country, which means that we have reached the European average in this respect.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Europeans are the most likely to choose to study in Poland, accounting for more than 72 % of all students. The second group is made up of people from Asia &#8211; 16.5%. As in the previous year, the number of students from Africa increased.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The largest, dominant group at Polish universities has for years been students from Ukraine and Belarus. In the 2022\/23 academic year, 48 056 Ukrainians and 12 014 Belarusians were studying in Poland.
