Since August 2023, archaeologists have been working on Przemysl Hill in Pozna\u0144, in the castle courtyard and in the cellars of the administrative building of the Museum of Applied Arts, referred to in historical literature as the Royal Kitchen.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Particularly noteworthy is the hypocaustum tile, which is evidence of the existence of heating in the medieval castle in Poznan. In addition, the level of the road made of fieldstones surrounding the inner courtyard of the residence was also documented. We can date the road to the 15th century&#8221;, says the head of the research team, Prof. Artur R\u00f3\u017ca\u0144ski.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The research also unearthed one of the oldest royal kitchens preserved in Poland.
