Earlier, Prof. W\u0119glarz received the Gold Medal of this organization, along with Prof. Jacek B\u0142a\u017cewicz and Prof. Roman S\u0142owi\u0144ski.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Association of European Operational Research Societies is an organization bringing together 32 countries and several thousand members dealing primarily with operational research &#8211; a scientific discipline related to decision theory, allowing to determine a method and solve specific problems related to making optimal decisions.<\/p>\n<p>Professor W\u0119glarz is the head of the Operational Research and Artificial Intelligence Unit at the Institute of Computer Science at the Pozna\u0144 University of Technology.
