The group of 43 winners from all over Poland included researchers from three faculties of the Jagiellonian University (UJ) in Krakow: Medicine, Chemistry and Geography and Geology.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the 5th PRELUDIUM BIS competition, NCN received 229 applications for a total amount of over PLN 134 million. Forty-three projects with a total value of nearly PLN 26 million were qualified for funding with the success rate in the competition 18.78 %.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dr Micha\u0142 Z\u0105bczyk from the Faculty of Medicine, will implement a project on chronic respiratory failure (CRF). Kamilla Ma\u0142ek&#8217;s project from the Faculty of Chemistry concerns surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) and photoinduced enhanced Raman spectroscopy (PIERS).
