The researchers will work on topics concerning the use of forest resources, balancing multiple benefits for society, climate, environment and economy. The budget allocated to the Polish teams is more than PLN 2.7 million.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dr Lidia St\u0119pi\u0144ska-Ustasiak from the \u0141ukasiewicz &#8211; ITECH Research Network of the Institute of Innovation and Technology, in collaboration with scientists from the \u0141ukasiewicz &#8211; Pozna\u0144 Technological Institute Research Network, will implement the CRESTIMB project on innovative timber building systems with an extended service life.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A team led by Dr Jan Pe\u0142czy\u0144ski of the Warsaw University of Technology, thanks to a grant obtained in the ForestValue2 Call 2023 competition, will implement the TiREX project on increasing the efficiency of reusing existing buildings and their components.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A team led by Dr Anna Wierzbicka from the University of Life Sciences in Pozna\u0144 will implement the IFORPLAN project, in which they will work on an effective method of forest management using spatial planning methods to best balance their economic and environmental functions.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Three of the four projects selected in the ForestValue2 Call 2023 competition will be implemented with the participation of researchers from Poland.
