The Chemistry Gold Medal competition was held for the thirteenth time. Its aim is to identify the authors of the best undergraduate or engineering theses in chemistry.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Chemistry Bronze Medal was awarded to \u0141ukasz Jakubski for his thesis &#8216;The use of a combination of magnetite with a molecular magnet as a filler for alginate membranes in ethanol dehydration using the pervaporation technique&#8217;.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">An honourable mention was awarded to the paper &#8220;Utilisation of waste poly(ethylene terphthalate) by production of plastycizers&#8221;. In it, Mateusz Zygad\u0142o developed a new, more efficient method of utilising PET plastic.
