The grant from the Regional Initiative of Excellence (RID) programme will be implemented in four disciplines: automation, electronics, electrical engineering and space technologies; mechanical engineering; astronomy; and physical sciences.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The currently inaugurated 1st RID programme was preceded by a pilot round in which funding was awarded to thirty universities implementing development projects in disciplines identified by the Ministry of Education.
