The text &#8220;Risk factors of deficit and non-deficit schizophrenia: Results from a cross-sectional study&#8217; was published in the journal &#8216;Revista de Psiquiatr\u00eda y Salud Mental&#8217;.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The aim of the study was to compare risk factors for deficit and non-deficit schizophrenia. They included gender, family burden of schizophrenia diagnosis, seasonality of birth, low birth weight, caesarean section delivery, history of traumatic experiences in childhood, substance abuse and smoking during the first episode of psychosis were included.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The analyses conducted showed that male gender and low birth weight were risk factors for the development of deficit schizophrenia.
