It is intended to raise public awareness and contribute to building a bridge between science and rehabilitation practice, integrating effective solutions for the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The project will conduct research on bone mineral density, muscle strength, functional fitness and analysis of selected markers in blood in women over 50 participating in a 10-month high-intensity strength exercise programme. In addition, half of the female participants will undergo vitamin D3 supplementation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;The SPORT project will bring health benefits to the participants but will also result in knowledge that can be effectively transformed at a local and regional community level.
