This publication contains data for the academic year 2022\/23. The majority of students are from Ukraine, with 48,150 currently enrolled.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Polish universities are becoming more and more popular every year. The internationalisation rate of higher education in our country was 7.1 % in the academic year 2021\/22 and 8.4 % in 2022\/23, respectively. In absolute terms, between the two years, there was an increase in the number of foreigners by as many as around 16,000 people &#8211; to over 102,000 people in the academic year 2022\/23&#8221;, says Dr Eng. Jaros\u0142aw Protasiewicz, director of the OPI.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students from Ukraine (48,150), Belarus (12,011), Zimbabwe (3,598), Turkey (3,435) and India ( 2,744) are most represented at Polish universities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The largest number of foreigners in the academic year 2022\/23 was educated by a non-public university &#8211; the Vistula Academy of Finance and Business. Almost 6 000 foreign-born students took up studies there.
