The De Republica Institute wants to make an important contribution to this&#8221;, said its director, Professor Andrzej Przy\u0142\u0119bski, at the De Republica Institute Awards ceremony.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The winners of the second edition of the De Republica Institute Prize for outstanding scientific achievements in the humanities and social sciences were:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the humanities: ex \u00e6quo Dr Katarzyna Marciniak and Dr Tomasz Herbich;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the field of social sciences: Dr Joanna Smogorzewska;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For international activities in the humanities or social sciences: Dr Leszek Garde\u0142a;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For lifetime achievement in the humanities or social sciences: ex \u00e6quo Dr Andrzej Nowak and Dr Krzysztof Kose\u0142a.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The aim of the De Republica Institute Prize is to support and promote the most talented young scholars conducting research in the humanities and social sciences, as well as to recognise outstanding Polish scientists who, through their work and overall scientific output, are an inspiration to younger generations.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;Artists, actors and writers are even spoilt for choice with the number of awards they can apply for.
