Thanks to funds from the European Programme for Intelligent Development (POIR) several hundred research teams have been created and 14 centres of excellence have been launched, implementing projects worldwide.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During the conference &#8216;International Research Agendas &#8211; Supporting Excellence and Innovation&#8217;, held at the National Stadium in Warsaw, Prof. Maciej \u017bylicz, President of the FNP, summarised the effects of the activities implemented by the Foundation with the OPIR since 2015.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The meeting was also an opportunity to present the report &#8216;Science in times of change. How research funded by European Funds helps protect us from global threats and exploit historical opportunities.
