He was honoured for his discovery of the structural dissimilarity of porphyrins, which resulted in a wealth of innovative structures with broad research and application potential.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The prize is awarded once every two years for research that stands out for its innovation in a field relevant to the modern world.
