{"id":308808,"date":"2023-10-05T08:31:33","date_gmt":"2023-10-05T06:31:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/polishscience.pl\/?p=308808"},"modified":"2023-10-05T08:31:33","modified_gmt":"2023-10-05T06:31:33","slug":"gdansk-university-of-technology-researchers-develop-drone-protection-system","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.polishscience.pl\/en\/gdansk-university-of-technology-researchers-develop-drone-protection-system\/","title":{"rendered":"Gdansk University of Technology researchers develop drone protection system"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A consortium of the Gdansk University of Technology and the Department of Automation and Measurement Equipment AREX from Gdynia will develop a system for the generation and emission of high-power microwave electromagnetic pulses to counter attacks and harmful activity by unmanned aerial vehicles.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As part of the project, research will be conducted into modelling and simulation of electromagnetic phenomena in systems for the generation and emission of high-power microwave electromagnetic pulses. For the implementation of the project, scientists obtained nearly PLN 21.8 million from the National Centre for Research and Development.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Based on the results of this research, a system technology demonstrator will be built, which will then be subjected to laboratory and field tests.
