{"id":308503,"date":"2023-10-04T09:45:34","date_gmt":"2023-10-04T07:45:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/polishscience.pl\/?p=308503"},"modified":"2023-10-04T09:45:34","modified_gmt":"2023-10-04T07:45:34","slug":"discoveries-made-by-archaeologists-from-the-university-of-rzeszow-during-work-in-orly","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.polishscience.pl\/en\/discoveries-made-by-archaeologists-from-the-university-of-rzeszow-during-work-in-orly\/","title":{"rendered":"Discoveries made by archaeologists from the University of Rzesz\u00f3w during work in Or\u0142y\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nearly six weeks of archaeological excavations in Or\u0142y in the Przemy\u015bl district have come to an end, and during this year&#8217;s season researchers and students from the Institute of Archaeology at the University of Rzesz\u00f3w (UR) have made many interesting discoveries.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The discoveries significantly expand the knowledge of the existence of human populations in the borderland of the Ka\u0144czucka Upland and the Lower San Valley over several thousand years.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One of the most interesting results of the research at Or\u0142y was the identification of a niche grave of the Corded ware culture dated to the 3rd thousand BC.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Inside the site, at a depth of nearly two metres, the skeletons of two people, arranged in a contracted position, were found. The deceased were accompanied by various grave gifts, including pottery, hatchets, bone chisels and other objects.
