The aim of the international project is, among other things, to recover valuable metals from used batteries.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The battery sector has been experiencing increasing demand for raw materials for years and is at risk of supply chain disruption. Various strategies are currently being pursued to address this issue and build profitable, sustainable, and innovative value chains. Metal recovery from waste and recycling plays a key role in this task.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the project, the institute is responsible for developing technology for the recovery of cobalt, nickel and copper from the iron-arsenic alloy formed in the pyrometallurgical lead production process.
