The Institute of Philosophy at the University of Lodz, with the participation of the Polish Philosophical Society and the Committee on Philosophical Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences, hosted the 12th Polish Philosophical Congress, reports the Centre for Communication and PR of the University of Lodz.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The convention was held on the 100th anniversary of the First Polish Philosophical Congress organised in 1923 at the Jan Kazimierz University in Lw\u00f3w (Lviv).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The event consisted of debates, panel discussions, plenary lectures, symposia and deliberations in over 20 thematic sections. Professor Paul Guyer of Brown University (USA) was the special guest of the Congress.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;The Philosophy Congress is a celebration of philosophy.
