It is the only such laboratory in Poland and one of the most modern in Europe.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It makes it possible to study cells using so-called volumetric electron microscopy.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The science magazine Nature named it one of the seven most promising research techniques in 2023, alongside the Webb telescope.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The heart of the laboratory is a high-resolution scanning electron microscope equipped with backscattered electron detectors with very high sensitivity.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Thanks to the lab, Olsztyn researchers can describe what a whole cell really looks like, both from the outside and inside.
