{"id":299513,"date":"2023-08-14T16:48:01","date_gmt":"2023-08-14T14:48:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/polishscience.pl\/?p=299513"},"modified":"2023-08-14T16:48:01","modified_gmt":"2023-08-14T14:48:01","slug":"scientists-from-olsztyn-to-investigate-the-potential-of-honey-in-the-prevention-of-civilisation-diseases","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.polishscience.pl\/en\/scientists-from-olsztyn-to-investigate-the-potential-of-honey-in-the-prevention-of-civilisation-diseases\/","title":{"rendered":"Scientists from Olsztyn to investigate the potential of honey in the prevention of civilisation diseases"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The potential of honey to prevent high blood pressure, obesity and neurological diseases will be investigated by scientists from the Department of Food Chemistry and Biodynamics of the Institute of Animal Reproduction and Food Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IRZiB\u017b PAN) in Olsztyn, as part of a project funded by the National Centre for Research and Development.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8216;Honeys are rich in many components with health-promoting properties, which have already been described in scientific publications&#8217;, says Dr Ma\u0142gorzata Starowicz, head of the Department of Food Chemistry and Biodynamics at the Institute of Animal Reproduction and Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IRZiB\u017b PAN). &#8216;We have undertaken to test the potential of honey in the prevention of civilisation-related diseases.
