It is a non-departmental unit whose aim is to carry out activities in the field of digital humanities, and in particular to initiate, organise and carry out activities related to the preservation of cultural heritage through digitisation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The UJ&#8217;s Vice-Chancellor for Teaching, Professor Armen Edigarian, emphasised at the inauguration that the conduct of humanities research, as in other fields, is today inevitably linked to the use of digital tools.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Dean of the Faculty of Polish Studies at the Jagiellonian University, Prof. Jaros\u0142aw Fazan, drew attention not only to the role of artificial intelligence tools in conducting research, but also to virtual reality as a subject of interest in the humanities.
