{"id":290586,"date":"2023-06-26T10:22:37","date_gmt":"2023-06-26T08:22:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/polishscience.pl\/?p=290586"},"modified":"2023-06-26T10:22:37","modified_gmt":"2023-06-26T08:22:37","slug":"university-of-wroclaw-scientist-co-authors-publication-in-nature-astronomy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.polishscience.pl\/en\/university-of-wroclaw-scientist-co-authors-publication-in-nature-astronomy\/","title":{"rendered":"University of Wroc\u0142aw scientist co-authors publication in Nature Astronomy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dr Giacomo Rosati, Professor at the University of Wroc\u0142aw, Department of Physics and Astronomy, is one of the co-authors of the article &#8220;Could quantum gravity slow down neutrinos?&#8221; in the prestigious journal Nature Astronomy.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A team of researchers from the University of Naples, the University of Wroclaw and the University of Bergen analysed a model of particle propagation based on quantum gravity in which the velocity of ultrarelativistic particles decreases with increasing energy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This effect is assumed to be negligible, proportional to the ratio of particle energy to the Planck scale, but can accumulate to observable levels when observing very distant astrophysical sources.
