{"id":286876,"date":"2023-06-05T12:35:26","date_gmt":"2023-06-05T10:35:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/polishscience.pl\/?p=286876"},"modified":"2023-06-05T12:35:26","modified_gmt":"2023-06-05T10:35:26","slug":"researcher-from-the-west-pomeranian-university-of-technology-becomes-a-scholarship-holder-of-the-foundation-for-polish-science","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.polishscience.pl\/en\/researcher-from-the-west-pomeranian-university-of-technology-becomes-a-scholarship-holder-of-the-foundation-for-polish-science\/","title":{"rendered":"Researcher from the West Pomeranian University of Technology becomes a scholarship holder of the Foundation for Polish Science"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dr Daria Ciecholewska-Ju\u015bko, employed as an assistant in the Department of Microbiology and Biotechnology at the West Pomeranian University of Technology, is one of a hundred young researchers who will receive scholarships in this year&#8217;s #START programme of the Foundation for Polish Science.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The distinguished scientific output of the Szczecin university&#8217;s researcher included, among other things, work related to obtaining bionanocellulosic materials and using them as carriers for antimicrobial substances to fight pathogenic bacteria in the form of biofilm.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dr Ciecholewska-Ju\u015bko is also involved in work on the effects of rotating magnetic fields on microbial cells. The annual scholarship to be awarded to the laureate is PLN 30 000.
