Researchers from the West Pomeranian University of Technology (ZUT) and PPHU POLIGRAF Wies\u0142aw Kasprowiak took 1st place in the competition of the Association of Polish Mechanical Engineers and Technicians – SIMP for the ‘Best Technical Achievement of the Year 2022’ in the category of achievements implemented in industry. The winners were recognised for creating a super-efficient printer-moulder.<\/span><\/p>\n

The machine prints using plastic pellets rather than polymer wire – filament. It then changes the head itself to give the final shape to the printed object using a cutter without having to transfer it to another machine.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

‘What sets our machine apart is its kinematics and versatility. All the equipment is integrated into the robotic arm, making it possible to print and process very large parts in a short time. This is how e.g. car body elements or boat hulls can be created’, says Marcin Go\u0142aszewski from ZUT.<\/span><\/p>\n
