The event, whose motto was &#8220;University and Society&#8221;, was attended by around 700 rectors from 14 countries and representatives of politics and business. Representatives of 30 higher education institutions came from Poland. The 5th International Meeting of Rectors &#8220;Universia&#8221; was opened by the Prime Minister of Spain, Pedro S\u00e1nchez.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The meeting focused on the role of universities in the situation of current social challenges. The debates, which took place on 8-10 May, focused on three themes: lifelong learning, the promotion of entrepreneurship and innovation, networking and connection between universities from all over the world. Over the next few days, discussions will continue in the regions.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The conclusions of the summit have been published in the Valencia Declaration.
