{"id":282239,"date":"2023-05-10T09:48:00","date_gmt":"2023-05-10T07:48:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/polishscience.pl\/?p=282239"},"modified":"2023-05-10T09:48:00","modified_gmt":"2023-05-10T07:48:00","slug":"first-erc-proof-of-concept-grant-in-the-polish-humanities","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.polishscience.pl\/en\/first-erc-proof-of-concept-grant-in-the-polish-humanities\/","title":{"rendered":"First ERC Proof of Concept Grant in the Polish humanities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prof. Katarzyna Marciniak, PhD, from the Faculty of &#8216;Artes Liberales&#8217; at the University of Warsaw (UW) has received a Proof of Concept Grant from the European Research Council (ERC) for the project &#8216;The Modern Argonauts: A Multicultural Educational Programme Preparing Young People for Contemporary Challenges through an Innovative Use of Classical Mythology&#8217;.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is the first Proof of Concept grant in the Polish humanities, and the second ERC grant received by Prof. Marciniak.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The result of Prof. Marciniak&#8217;s grant will be an international educational programme that prepares schoolchildren for the challenges of today through an innovative use of Greek and Roman mythology. The programme will be developed as a free-access textbook with an interactive version.
