{"id":279765,"date":"2023-04-26T09:43:12","date_gmt":"2023-04-26T07:43:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/polishscience.pl\/?p=279765"},"modified":"2023-04-26T09:43:12","modified_gmt":"2023-04-26T07:43:12","slug":"prof-krzysztof-kulpa-receives-medal-of-theodore-von-karman","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.polishscience.pl\/en\/prof-krzysztof-kulpa-receives-medal-of-theodore-von-karman\/","title":{"rendered":"Prof. Krzysztof Kulpa receives Medal of Theodore von K\u00e1rm\u00e1n"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prof. Krzysztof Kulpa from the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology at the Warsaw University of Technology (PW) has received the Theodore von K\u00e1rm\u00e1n Medal, which is awarded for lifetime commitment to international science and technology cooperation in NATO and for contributions to the activities of the NATO Science and Technology Organisation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The NATO Science and Technology Board (STB) recognised the exceptional contribution of the PW scientist to the field of radar technology. The Theodore von K\u00e1rm\u00e1n Medal is the most important defence award of its kind in NATO countries. It has been awarded since 1972 and 53 people have been honoured with it so far. Prof. Kulpa is the first laureate from Poland.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prof. Krzysztof Kulpa heads the Radiolocation Techniques Laboratory on a day-to-day basis and is also Deputy Director of the University&#8217;s Defence and Security Research Centre.
