{"id":279513,"date":"2023-04-25T09:52:58","date_gmt":"2023-04-25T07:52:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/polishscience.pl\/?p=279513"},"modified":"2023-04-25T09:52:58","modified_gmt":"2023-04-25T07:52:58","slug":"latest-report-women-at-technical-universities-published","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.polishscience.pl\/en\/latest-report-women-at-technical-universities-published\/","title":{"rendered":"Latest report &#8216;Women at technical universities&#8217; published"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Thanks to the cooperation between the Perspektywy Educational Foundation and the Information Processing Centre &#8211; National Research Institute (OPI PIB), the latest &#8220;Women at technical universities&#8221; report was created.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the academic year 2021\/2022, almost 1 million 174,000 people studied at all universities in Poland, of which more than 800,000 studied at public universities. Women accounted for 77% of students at pedagogical universities, 73% of students at medical universities and only 35% of them studied at public technical universities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dr Anna Knapi\u0144ska of OPI PIB reminds us that gender balance can be said to exist when the proportion of women or men is between 40 and 60%.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is worth noting that certain faculties at public technical universities meet this criterion. These are: business analytics, social informatics, applied mathematics, biocybernetics and biomedical engineering, safety engineering, occupational safety engineering, nanotechnology and computational engineering.
