The conference is organised by the Department of Demography of the University of Lodz.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The aim of the organisers is to provide an opportunity for an exchange of views for people representing both various specific scientific disciplines and practitioners professionally involved in the issues of population ageing, old age and older people.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The subject matter of the conference includes, among others, the following issues: the process of demographic ageing of the population, taking into account the territorial diversity and dual nature of the process within the subpopulation of the elderly, among others, the growth of the population of the elderly; the tasks of social policy towards the elderly and old age; the health status, living conditions and quality of life of seniors; the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the living and health situation of seniors; the situation of the elderly in the labour market.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On 15-16 June 2023, the Faculty of Economics and Sociology of the University of \u0141\u00f3d\u017a (U\u0141) will host a scientific conference in the series &#8220;\u0141\u00f3d\u017a Days of Gerontology&#8221; devoted to the issue of population ageing.
