The device was purchased thanks to a subsidy from the Municipal Office in Wroc\u0142aw.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The idea for the purchase of a drone by the University of Wroclaw appeared already in 2015, when the LIFE-APIS \/ PL project implemented by the Department of Climatology and Atmospheric Protection was awarded with the Polish Innovation Prize. It was a great opportunity to establish scientific cooperation with Optimum Tymi\u0144ski Company, which in 2017 created the first unmanned flying platform.<\/p>\n<p>In environmental monitoring, drones are very popular and have different applications. The University drone is used as a platform for measuring air quality and basic meteorological parameters.
