Hills began a six-week stay at the University of Opole as part of the Fulbright Commission&#8217;s &#8216;Fulbright Specialist&#8217; project, acquired in a competition by the Opole University&#8217;s Institute of Health Sciences.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The project will involve a variety of activities &#8211; including lectures for students, meetings with research groups, academics and the editors of a quarterly scientific journal. Topics include issues related to gerontology in its broadest sense and current problems of ageing societies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Fulbright Specialist programme was established by the US Department of State to fund short-term visits by highly qualified US researchers to institutions, hosted abroad.
