This time, Prof. Wojciech Tygielski, from the Faculty of Arts and Culture Sciences at the UW will deliver the lecture &#8216;Everyone gets the Rome they deserve. Italian inspirations in Polish culture&#8217;.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prof. Wojciech Tygielski is a historian of modern times and a publisher of sources. His academic interests include the social history of Poland and Europe in the 16th-17th centuries, Polish-Italian contacts and travel in the modern period, and the history of diplomacy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In 1993-1995, he was director of the Polish Institute in Rome. He also held the position of Vice-Dean of the Faculty of History of the University (1999-2002), and was Vice-Chancellor of the University for Research and Cooperation with Foreign Countries (2002-2008).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prof. Wojciech Tygielski&#8217;s lecture &#8216;Everyone gets the Rome they deserve.
